Recent Custom Builds
Ilya has built a lot of bikes since we last posted in August! We also undertook a massive relocation & restructuring… it started in September and it’s not over yet! It’s been a wild 6 months.
Check out some of our favorite custom builds from the fall/winter.
It was fun to build some road bikes in what is now a gravel-dominated world!
Ben’s Mosaic RT-1 with Prismatica paint (seen here on a trip to Hong Kong).
Stephen’s RT-1 Disc with custom paint. (Stephen is the new president of Kissena Cycling (est 1963), check them out here!)
Elyssa’s GT-2 with HED Belgium Disc wheels and a Shimano Di2 touring group.
Ilya re-built Javier’s Mosaic GT-2 45 with SRAM Red eTap AXS. This project was started in the old shop, and finished in the new! We’ve since added a Quarq powermeter (our favorite).
While not exactly a custom build, Henry’s P Line Brompton deserves a mention. Henry is a longtime Redbeard rider, we’ve built him many bikes. Of his latest Brompton, he said, “This one isn’t for riding. It’s for RIDING-riding.”
There were others… but the photos are in Lightroom. (If you know you know.)
Coming up next: a Mosaic mountain bike for Jess, a few more Mosaic gravel bikes (wait till you see the paint!), and a series of Gunnars. Stay with us!
